Clearity Foundation provides a Tumor Blueprint to help eligible women obtain the molecular profile of their tumor. By determining the levels of specific biomarkers and detecting certain genetic changes in the tumor, a molecular profile allows prioritization of treatment options.
How Is the Testing Done?
To do the testing, a small piece of tumor tissue obtained from a recent biopsy or surgery is required. The Clearity team will work with you and your physician to obtain the appropriate tissue sample and have it sent to our clinical laboratory partners, for analysis.
Once the laboratories generate the results of the biomarker tests, Clearity’s scientific team will use that information to create an interpretive report based on both scientific literature and patient data from the Diane Barton Database. The report will be provided to you and your physician, along with information about any clinical trials for which you may be eligible based on your molecular profile. We will also review the information and recommendations of the report with you by telephone to answer any questions you may have.

Cost of the Tumor Blueprint
As a non-profit organization, The Clearity Foundation provides its patient support services free of charge. These services include test coordination, reporting and interpretation of test results, and identification of clinical trials for which you may be eligible.
The cost of the biomarker testing will vary depending on your insurance.
We are committed to helping women with ovarian cancer make more informed treatment decisions regardless of their ability to pay. Our grant process exists as a way of identifying patients that need financial assistance to cover the cost of biomarker testing. If you are in need of financial assistance, please do not hesitate to fill out our Financial Assistance Form.
Support our Mission!
Although Clearity does not charge for the Tumor Blueprint, the Foundation does incur significant costs for the services it provides. In addition, we try to help defray the cost of biomarker testing for women who need financial assistance. We rely on charitable donations to make our services possible. Please consider making a donation to support our mission to helping women with ovarian cancer make better informed treatment choices.
